Development of highly transparent reagent LUCID-DX
LUCID is used in cancer research and drug discovery because
it has the highest clearing ability among the existing organ-clearing reagents. Furthermore,
we have developed LUCID-DX, a new clearing reagent that has greatly improved the clearing
ability and speed of LUCID. LUCID-DX can double the deep observation capability while
halving the transparency-processing time This allows a biopsy specimen to clear in just 3
h.
LUCID simultaneously allows sample staining and transparency. For example, endoscopic biopsy
specimens can be stained and cleared in just 12 h.
Other organ-clearing techniques could not be used to clear clinical-pathological specimens
because the clearing process took over 10 days and the cleared specimens quickly collapsed.
LUCID-DX, addresses these problems and supports reliable pathological diagnosis by
facilitating and ensuring clearing pathological specimens.
